Mr. Saliba is the Founder and a Principal of First Traders Analytical Solutions, LLC, a provider of technological solutions for the trading industry, including front and back-end systems for options routing and execution that was established in 1992. Tony is also is Founder and Manager of LiquidPoint, LLC, a registered broker-dealer that operates as the total-solution provider for all levels of the options trading industry by offering a bridge between traditional open-outcry and electronic options exchanges using First Traders products. The Solution combines sophisticated trading tools with superior order execution services and outstanding customer support, providing the complete solution for today's sophisticated and diverse trading requirements. The HEAT(tm) System; which stands for "Hybrid Execution and Trading", is the company's premier product and provides a fully customizable platform for electronic Order Entry, Routing and Management. The technology supporting these applications is all designed and built by First Traders Analytical Solutions.
Mr. Saliba earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Indiana University in 1977. He started his trading career at Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) in 1979, trading equity options as an independent trader. Throughout the next 11 years, he expanded his trading horizons to include most CBOE products, currencies and the Standard & Poors 500 contracts on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, along with the agricultural and interest rate products traded on the Chicago Board of Trade. Index products (SPX) developed into his primary focus in 1987, where he traded the last four years on the CBOE.
Mr. Saliba had been a dominant presence in all markets in which he traded on a full-time basis, holding volume records in a number of the classes. He is widely recognized as a pioneer and leader in the Chicago derivatives market and was the only options trader to be profiled in the bestselling book, Market Wizards. He served on the CBOE's Board of Directors from 1987-1989 and has participated on numerous industry committees. Mr. Saliba is an active consultant on the transition to electronic trading for the local market participants.
