For nearly four decades, senior listed derivatives professionals, legislators, regulators and members of the press have been convening at the FIA International Derivatives Conference in Boca Raton, Florida to discuss the state of the industry. Over the past three years, financial reform has occupied more time and resources than we could ever have predicted, impacting our markets in ways we never would have anticipated. In 2013, OTC clearing requirements will be nearly completed in the U.S. and well underway in Europe. The mood is changing from “wait-and-see” to full speed ahead.
