The bankruptcy of Sentinel Management Group shocked the futures industry and had certain firms scrambling to meet margin calls. Sentinel did not engage in any activities normally associated with an FCM, but rather acted as a money manager, investing customer segregated funds on behalf of other FCMs in a commingled account. This panel will consider what the industry has learned from the collapse of Sentinel.
