FIA Futures Cares Charity Drive 2010
                                                     

FIA Futures Cares Charity Drive
FIA Futures Cares is a donation drive and charity dinner held in conjunction with Futures & Options Expo each fall--gives companies and individuals in the futures industry the opportunity to provide funds to feed people in need. Proceeds from the drive and dinner benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository, a nonprofit food distribution and training center providing food for hungry people. This year, 15% of proceeds from Gold and Silver sponsorships will be donated to Everybody Wins! DC, up to a maximum donation of $25,000. Everybody Wins! DC is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting childrenís literacy and a love of learning through shared reading experiences with caring individuals.

In 2009, FIA Futures Cares raised over $300,000, gave away a Mini Cooper through a raffle, and hosted a charity dinner attended by over 400 members of the futures industry.



Charity Reception & Dinner During
FIA Futures & Options Expo

  • 6 to 9 p.m., Nov. 4, 2010, at the Hilton Chicago
    720 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60605
  • Charity Raffle: The drawing for a car, sponsored by the CME Group, will take place during the dinner (tickets will be available for purchase during Expo 2010 and at the dinner).
  • 9 p.m. Post Dinner Reception hosted by Russell Investments

Featured Entertainment: NFL Great Gale Sayers to Speak at Charity Dinner
Fabled Chicago Bears running back Gale Sayers will speak at this yearís Futures Cares Dinner on November 4. Sayers played for the Bears from 1965-1971 and became the youngest player in NFL history inducted into the Hall of Fame. Here are just a few of many memorable moments of a truly magical career:

  • NFL Rookie of the Year 1965
  • NFL record six touchdowns in one game
    (vs San Francisco) ñ 1965
  • Led the NFL in scoring (22 touchdowns) ñ

Today Sayers is active in academics, business and community, including involvement with the Chicago Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America, Marklund Children Center for handicapped children, and the Boys and Girls Club of America. He also serves as President of Sayers Computer Source, a company he founded with his wife in 1984.


Charity Raffle

Raffle tickets for the chance to win a Chevrolet Camaro donated by CME Group-will be available for purchase during FIA Expo 2010, November 3 & 4 ($20 each or 6 for $100). The winner will be drawn and announced during the Dinner on November 4. Winner need not be present to win. Car color, model & features may vary.
