Keynote Speeches

Derivatives industry leaders and key Chinese government officials have been invited to address FIA Asia Derivatives Conference delegates.

China Markets – Today and Tomorrow

The China commodity markets are among the largest in Asia, however, the challenges for cross-border access to these markets are substantial. This session also will include a discussion and analysis of the introduction of financial derivatives.

Asian Derivatives Markets – Where Are They Going?

Representatives from Asian markets will discuss their products, accessibility to global players, and strategic initiatives. Possible participants include Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India, Australia, Singapore and more.

Internationalization and Cross-border Access to Markets

Chief technology officers discuss electronic access to Asian markets including technology requirements and plans for future implementations.

Risk Management and Clearing – Challenges for Asia

Global intermediaries and clearinghouses discuss issues that need to be addressed to attract global participants to Asian derivatives markets. Asian clearing organizations will update delegates on their practices and plans.

Attracting Global Market Participants

Intermediaries and customers discuss what they would like to see exchanges address to facilitate trading on established and emerging markets in Asia.

Special Sessions

Presentations by exchanges and vendors will provide more information about Asian products and markets. In addition, special arrangements are being made for “Compliance Meetings” with Asian representatives and regulators to answer questions about regulations and business practices in the region.

Social Events

Network at the opening reception on Tuesday, August 9, and a special reception and gala dinner for delegates on Wednesday, August 10, plus conference luncheons and coffee breaks.
