FIA Futures Cares

Futures Cares

FIA Futures Cares--a donation drive and charity dinner held in conjunction with Futures & Options Expo each fall--gives companies and individuals in the Futures Industry Association the opportunity to provide funds to feed people in need. All proceeds from the drive and dinner benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository, a nonprofit food distribution and training center providing food for hungry people. Last year, the equivalent of 1,090,500 meals was served to hungry Chicagoans because of the generosity of the futures and options community

The Food Depository distributes donated and purchased food through a network of 600 food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters to 500,000 adults and children every year. Last year, the Food Depository distributed more than 46 million pounds of nonperishable food and fresh produce, dairy products and meat, the equivalent of more than 95,000 meals every day.

In 2008, FIA Futures Cares raised over $307,000, gave away a Smart Car and a $1,500 gas gift card through a raffle, and hosted a charity dinner attended by over 400 members of the futures industry.

Sponsorship Opportunities: All sponsorships are considered a charitable contribution, less fair market value of the meal. Fair market value TBD.

  • Silver Sponsor—$10,000 donation
