GLENN J. SATTY

Until 2005, Dr. Glenn J. Satty was in charge of operations and control for Telluride Asset Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund that he co-founded in 2002. Prior to his work with Telluride, Glenn was Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and member of the Executive Committee for the Knight Trading Group in Jersey City. Prior to this position, Glenn was Chief Operating Officer of Arbitrade Holdings, a hedge fund and proprietary trading partnership based in Minneapolis, where he was responsible for all support function activities including information technology, operations, legal, compliance, finance and control, facilities, and human resources. Arbitrade was acquired by Knight in January 2000.
Before joining Arbitrade in 1999, Glenn was a Managing Director, Human Resources, at UBS/Warburg, where his last position was to lead a major process reengineering and change initiative at the Bank. Before his work on the change initiative, Glenn was Global Head of Education, Development, Sourcing and Assessment at UBS/Warburg. As one of his responsibilities, he developed management, leadership, and organizational development programs, and customized trading, sales and technology education programs to meet the varied needs of the investment bank. In addition, he has made presentations to various client groups, corporate boards, university classes, Central Bank risk managers and Regulatory Authorities throughout the world including the G10, B.I.S., Bank of England, New York and Chicago Federal Reserve Banks, the Australian Securities Commission, Malaysian Securities Commission, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, GSIC and MAS (Singapore), Thai SEC and the National Association of Insurance *Commissioners (USA).
Glenn was a Principal of SBC/OC, a service company for SBC and O'Connor Partners, before moving into SBC, which merged with UBS in 1998. At O'Connor he developed all education and training programs, and was involved with graduate recruitment. He joined O'Connor in 1985 following service as assistant professor of mathematics at Hobart College, Geneva, New York. From 1978 to 1983, he was an instructor and adjunct professor of mathematics and philosophy at Boston College and Northeastern University. He was a mathematics teacher at The Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville, New Jersey, from 1973 to 1978.
Glenn served as a Governor of the Pacific Exchange and an advisor to the MIT program in Financial Engineering and Fairfield University School of Business.
Dr. Satty earned a Doctorate (1983) and a Master of Arts degree (1981) in philosophy from Boston College. He received a Master of Science degree in mathematics from Stanford University in 1971, and a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and physics from Hobart College in 1970.
