This year’s International Derivatives Conference welcomed delegates to a revised two day programme format for 2002. This event demonstrated how valuable the conference is to the exchange of information and to discussions on issues and developments which have the power to affect the future success of our industry.

The programme featured some of the most influential and respected participants in today’s markets and it is with pleasure that the FIA and FOA extended a warm welcome to Guest Speakers from some of the world’s major exchanges, clearing houses and regulatory authorities. The focus this year was on the changes taking place in the European marketplace and the effect this has on the continuing development and future success of the business…………with particular emphasis on equity and energy markets, and products and for clearing and settlement……….widening the discussion to include comment on the impact that a single European market in financial services will have, not just in the EU, but in the world’s other major financial and commodity markets.
