KIM TAYLOR
Managing Director and President
CME Clearing House Division
Kim Taylor is Managing Director and President of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Clearing House Division. Since she was appointed to this position on CME's Management Team in 2004, she has overseen the exchange's Clearing House.
Taylor led CME's efforts to establish its historic clearing agreement with The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) in 2003. As a result of this agreement, CME's Clearing House now guarantees, clears and settles every contract traded on CME and CBOT. The exchange managed $47.0 billion in collateral deposits at March 31, 2006, including $3.8 billion in deposits for non-CME products.
Taylor began her CME career as a Clearing House analyst in 1989. She was promoted to Financial Manager in 1992, Director, Financial Management in 1994, Senior Director in 1996 and Vice President in 1998, all within the CME Clearing House. From 1998 to 2003, Taylor served as Managing Director, Risk Management (previously Senior Vice President under CME's former title structure) in the Clearing House Division. In this role, she managed the Clearing House's exposure to counterparty risk, including monitoring market volatility, setting minimum performance bond requirements and negotiating cross-margin programs. Before joining CME, she held a variety of sales-related positions with Sprint and MacDonald Broadcasting Corp.
Taylor received her bachelor's degree in 1983 from Alma College, Alma, Mich., and her MBA in 1990 from Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Mich.
