Annual Meeting & Washington Update

The President has just delivered his first State of the Union Address, and the Senate has lost its 60 vote stronghold. The administration continues to work on healthcare reform but revamping of the financial regulatory framework is moving up in the priorities. The CFTC is moving towards changes in the speculative position limits and oversight of OTC products. The FERC is also looking at expanding its regulatory oversight. Join us as John Damgard, FIA President and Washington veteran, gives his point of view of how the futures and OTC industry may be affected by the policies and structures proposed by the recent changes in Washington and the political climate of an interim election year.
